Infection - why does this happen and what can i do?

Some times when i cut I feel like i will faint and im dizzy and everything.I don't know if it happens when its deep but it happens to me a lot and im scared that something will happen.

Why does it happen? And what can i do before i faint so that i won't or to help myself feel better?

That used to happen to me. It would happen with even fairly minor cuts, so it didn't have anything to do with blood loss. I think it was anxiety, maybe caused by some kind of subconscious fear of what I was doing to myself. So maybe that is the reason? I don't really know what you could do about it other than not cut, I guess take a few deep breaths and maybe lie down for a bit.

Sounds like it might be anxiety related. Perhaps think about how you are feeling and what is in your mind at the time. Aldo think about what emotions you feel when you need to cut.

Also, try focusingn on something. think about excatly how it feels and looks. See if that helps at all.

By not focusing on the feeling, sometimes it may fade a little.

An yeah as soon as the feeling is there distract your mind.
