Now I can't stop wondering why they would have a picture of a Finnish bear in the paper over there. xD

Yap, it's got two I's. (And I just now noticed how silly that would sound if I said it aloud.) It's the Finnish word for a convalescent, and it's sort of my most used nickname right now. xD
(and I realized now that if it's spelled "toi pilas", it's Finnish for "that prank of yours". Whoa! :D)

Because there was something about wild animals in the paper. ;D About Ruben Smit, who traveled to Serbia for "Wild Wonders of Europe." I don't get why there is a Finnish bear then, but I'm looking at the online paper now, and I can't enlarge it, so I can't read the text, just the big text. xD

I had a brain fart and can't think of where Serbia is. :D Somewhere near the Balkans? That's a looong way for a Finnish bear to walk!

A lot of girls in my class are totally horse-obsessed. I don't like horses. I used to be scared of them. When I was really young.

And about the bears - I just know that they're cute, even though they can't be cute, because they can eat you. :D

Yeah, think so. But maybe Finnish bears can walk far. :D Maybe they've got superpowers. So they can walk without ever getting tired. Or they can fly, :D

I too go to college in a small town-ish, but it's close to larger cities which makes doing things not so bad. Although the immediate surroundings does not alleviate boredom. It's a quiet place so all we can do is study at night or hang out with friends since everything loves to close around seven or eight.

Thanks for the icon bit. I randomly found it and thought it was fantastic. Too bad the teacher thought it was "offensive," I mean, it's not like it's really insulting anyone or anything. People are strange or just too conservative nowadays.

I live in the third largest city in Finland (and the largest inland city in the Nordic countries!) but I think by the US's standards this would be a small town. :D But hey, we only have lakes and forests. And flying bears. And clumsy cats who can't seem to be able to walk on a table without dropping everything else that was on it cough cough. >:l Silly furball.

I do quite enjoy flying bears! And lakes! Maybe I should move to Finland? haha. Do these bears come in fun colors? Or just the standard ones?

Oh and my professor is older so took it literally as them writing "what the f*ck?" on their project.

And I'm not sure, I've only seen brown non-flying ones (and I don't know what colour the one that flew to Serbia was), but I'd suspect they'd come in all possible colours.

Hmph, I hate professors who don't have a sense of humour. You'd think someone who has to teach people would have the best sense of humour and a lot of patience... :D

haha, I understood where she was coming from, but she really over-reacted.

I think I'd like to see a neon colored flying bear. We have black bears in our state. Sometimes people see them, but mostly you just see deer and the occasional fox.
