Dropped a dinner..

knife on my foot. It hit where a visible vein is, and there is a little hard swelling..its red, and ****ing hurts.

There is no break to the skin, but the bruising happened as soon as i dropped it. I can still move my toes & everything.

Just seeking advice because my ocd head is telling my my foot will drop off tomorrow.

I whacked my hand once and hit the back of it where a vein is and the area swelled up red and sore and then left a blue/purple lump where the vein was. I was told this was a haematoma [swollen/leaky vessel] and it lasted a few months before shrinking back again.

I'd just rest it and if your foot is still there, I expect your lumbered with it for life :P

If it's still causing a problem I'd get it checked out. It does sound like a haematoma (a bleed under the skin) but with these you can also have other injuries which should really be checked out just in case especially if it's really pain/ you've got reduced sensation or movement to the area of your foot below that.
