Are you from the United Kingdom?

Then go register to vote if you haven't yet.

I have no idea why they send polling cards because you don't need to bring them to vote! I thought you had to bring them, but they're not needed at all.

^Apparently you sometimes get a practice voting slip too in the US? I read what I think was an American website and it encouraged you to bring the practice voting slip to remind you who to vote for, which seemed it a patronising!

I've always thought it weird you don't need to show ID to vote. I mean I could walk in to my polling station and give my mum's name, or my neighbour's name. I think they ask you your DOB but that's not exactly hard to find out! If you were particularly sneaky you could vote multiple times stealing other people's votes if you could be sure the people at the polling station didn't recognise you coming back twice.

this is an issue tower hamlets has. Alongside many others. Voting needs to be much more regulated than it currently is, especially with postal voting.

I agree. With the urge to get everyone registered and actually voting, and how close they keep saying the election will be, I think it's something they need to sort out!
