Discharge Planning Meeting

I am still an informal patient on a psychiatric ward.

I have a Discharge Planning Meeting later in the week. The doctor is trying to guilt trip me into inviting my parents to the meeting saying that If I die and my parents don’t know I still have thoughts of ordering more tablets and am still at serious risk of suicide it wouldn’t be fair to them. I don’t want them at the meeting and feel this is the doctor trying to cover her own back.

The doctor is also trying to stipulate where I live and other things. Can they do this? I’m not currently on a section or CTO but if I was could they do these things?
