Nothing good comes from going without sleep for extended periods of time. I do it far too often for various reasons, and it has nothing but negative effects.
Staying up all night once isn't going to hurt you, though. You'll just be tired the next day (and probably the day after). Just try not to make it a habit. The more you do it, the less you notice the negative effects, and the harder it is to stop.

If you're intent on staying up, drink lots of water, don't go too heavy on the caffeine (it'll make you more sleepy later), and try to maintain good posture (sitting or standing). These things tend to work pretty well in the first 48 hours or so.
