Nails and a Job interview.

Hey all! I'm just curious as to what peoples opinions are when it comes to going to a job interview with dark nails. This probably sounds stupid and a "who cares what colour your nails are?" kind of question but hear me out!
I have a very sudden and unexpected interview at a fast food place (not anything fancy, just a normal teenage job interview), but i have long black nails from Halloween. I don't particularly want to take them off but my mother thinks that the interviewer may get a negative connotation (lol) about me because of my nails?
I don't really agree because it shouldn't matter about someone's appearance but what she said has gotten me thinking.
Should i change the colour/take them off before my interview?

Essentially yes you should because of where you are being interviewed.

I have worked in food factories which is not quite the same but still essentially handling food and we were told not to have false/painted nails or jewelry on the factory floor. So for that reason I agree with Lillie. I would also take off any excessive jewelry (wedding ring is acceptable) too.

If you're lucky enough to get the job and once you know their policies regarding makeup and jewelry then you can paint your nails.

I agree that we live in the 21st century, and now even tattoos have become a grunt, so they are not a problem for companies.td {border: 1px solid #ccc;}br {mso-data-placement:same-cell;}
