Brown skin patches under bra line *updated/resolved*
For a while I've been developing pale brown/tan circles of skin where the bottom of my bra sits under my breasts.
I get scared that I have some kind of disease. This makes me feel dirty.
They don't itch or hurt.
Does anyone know what this could be?

I have it too. I don't know what it is either. I have changed my bra and it made no difference. I haven't changed washing powder or soap so I doubt that it's a allergy.

It could be just a chafe.
But it could also be a symptom of a developing intertrigo rash.
It would be best if you went to a GP just to get it checked-out.
Hope this helps.

In my case I doubt it's chafe because that's what I thought initially. Like I said I changed my bra (different type) & it made no difference.

*could* be a fungal infections. I had something that sounds similar. Couple of bra washes with anti- fungal rinse and cream to the area and it went. Never itched. And was told it was basically harmless. It happens.

Perhaps try a different bra to eliminate some sort of allergy or irritation?

Hi, I just wanted to update this as others had had some similar experiences. My GP told me it was *some complicated name* and was *a fungal infection I think* and was basically quite common.
She gave me a special anti-dandruff shampoo to apply under my boobs for 5 days and that cleared it up.
It might be possible to speak to a pharmacist if others have similar issues, or your GP.
