Better funding, psh like that would happen.

It’s not always that easy to distinguish the good guys from the bad guys,
Sinners can surprise you and the same is true for saints.
Why do we try to define people with simply good or simply evil?
Because no one wants to admit that compassion and cruelty can live side by side in one heart and that anyone is capable of anything.

About bloody time. I'm sick of people saying "yeah but at least you're not crippled/dying/a vegetable" and its just as bad, if not worse than that sometimes. It IS crippling and it CAN kill you, and it CAN turn you into a vegetable!

Sorry im so pessimistic but i dont think general peoples perspectives are going to change. people who dont have depression dont understand what its like, but then i guess people who dont have cancer dont understand what that is like.

Awh I’m making that quote of the week.

Careful folks, we’re not quite sure yet but depression might just maybe ruin your relationships, finances and physical health, maybe. Yeah, see we’ve got this crazy idea that you might not be able to get up for work or even handle being in work so you won’t get paid and that you might not get a date because you might just be a little too miserable. As for your physical health, well I was talking to Big Bird and the Cookie Monster the other week and they were telling me about this new thing called self harm and apparently it’s not good.

But yeah, like I said, we’re not too sure yet. I think we could have gotten it mixed up with chicken pox.

Well you see Tamz I was talking to the flying pigs and they said depression is actually all in your imagination.

And that this article is a load of lies. And when you read it your eyes will turn purple.

So obviously this is another new fad.

/sarcasm

Actually I can't answer this without sarcasm (about the article) so I think I'm just going to finish with one final word.

NEVER.

silly people.

(or three, depressives can't count you know).

I remember seeing this on the news. My mum has the same condition as Lynn Mitchell (chronic obstructive lung disease) and she has to go into hospital often. Now she has a oxygen machine, a ventilator, portable oxygen, a bath chair things. All sorts of stuff to help with her lung disease but nothing to help with the depression. She was on antidepressants before her lung disease was so bad, when she still had a lot of freedom. Now she doesn't see her counsellor any more and her antidepressants were taken away, when she needs them most.

I'm extremely greatful for everything the doctors have done for my mum. They save her life. The only problem is she wishes she was dead.

Scarlett, I'm so sorry the NHS are being so rubbish with your mum. I hate that my first reaction was ''Typical NHS''. Which it is, and I'm sure you will know yourself.

It's a shambles; but, it's better than what alot of other people in other countries have for a health system.

Mental Health is still something people think is made up. I know people at work who ring up with a bad cold and no one complains, but when a friend phoned in desperately depressed (she actually had taken a OD, but work don't know this), numerous collegues made the ''oh she just can't be bothered'' kind of comments or the ''it;s all in her head, she's fine really'' ones.
Needless to say I almost lost it with them!!

Are we demented or am I disturbed?
