Finally I am making progress

On Friday, I was discharged from the Burns clinic, as all my wounds have healed. I have been going there continuously since January, and after 4 skin graft operations this year, I am sick of being in pain and not being able to do things like have a bath or walk properly. I am hoping that I can continue to be self harm free and although I am still fragile, I am trying to focus on the future. I am still waiting to be assessed for DBT (I have been waiting for 6 months and no-one knows how much longer I will have to wait or if there is another waiting list for the treatment if I get accepted) but I am not going to put my life on hold in the meantime. I applied for a Fine Art course for next term and was accepted so I'm really excited about that!

Hey this is really really positive. And though its bound to be hard its great that you aim to stay self harm free (keep reminding yourself of all those negatives) and well done re the Fine Art Course - thats brill and i really hope you enjoy it! Very best wishes.
