Excellent thread :)
I found the one from last year, my goals were:
- Get a job! (Preferably before next year though!)
- Don't self harm & work hard on being a normal functioning adult
- Meet more people & make friends where I'm living now
& run my half marathon without dying!
All of which I have achieved, I think. I am employed and have only had three weeks off for mental health reasons. Not perfect but definitely not terrible.
I haven't self harmed and generally I function much better these days. I still struggle but that's okay. I have a better attitude to the problems I have, I think, which makes a lot of difference.
I've made a huge effort to get out more and I have met more people and made some new friends. I also met my wonderful boyfriend (thanks to RYL :P)
Oh, and I did the half marathon and raised a few hundred pounds for the Mental Health Foundation, which I never actually thought I could do!
I feel like I have spent most of this year constantly pushing myself to live outside my comfort zone and it is HARD. But it's also so very worthwhile and I am honestly really proud of what I've achieved this year.
For 2015, I would like to continue working on the same things. I will hopefully be getting counselling in January and I want to engage with that and work on dealing better with my lows (and highs, I guess).
I am applying to go back to uni to do mental health nursing, so I would like to get a place and be cleared by OH and start that in September!
I have just joined a gym and I want to work on getting fitter and losing some weight (I am overweight and I genuinely want to be healthier). I'm aiming to run another half marathon with a better time and start training for a marathon.
I would like to be more organized and work on having a better routine and sleep hygiene and getting things done in advance rather than at the last minute, since I think all of that would have a positive effect on my mental health (and probably everyone else's :P).
eta: I also aim to live more mindfully, be more fully present, and say yes to more things I would normally avoid.
