Dear GP - Patient Letters About Their MH Professionals

I don't know if anyone was aware of the twitter account @dear_gp that was collecting patient written letters about their MH professionals to highlight how subjective and derogatory etc MH professionals can be when writing about their patients. They have now published some of the letters which can be downloaded and it might be worth a read for a laugh. I haven't read much of it yet because I've ordered a physical copy since that's easier for me to read than on a screen.

Check it out if you like - https://deargp.home.blog

I read some, they were very clever and funny! (Query tapeworm? Asthma?)

Just sad that so many potatoes have this experience. I can't imagine if it happened with physical health. I dread to think what my notes say.

From now on I will call myself a potato rather than a patient!

Had a quick look. Maybe I don't get it but I didn't find the letters very funny? Sarcastic, if anything.

But what I really want to say, and isn't really on topic at all, but oh my goodness what a great typo!

Sarcastic maybe, yeah. It's funnier if you have read a letter about yourself that a professional has sent to a GP or someone else so you have something to compare it with.

What an awesome idea

Have you ever confused a dream with life? Or stolen something when you have the cash? Have you ever been blue? Or thought your train moving while sitting still? Maybe I was just crazy. Maybe it was the 60's. Or maybe I was just a girl... interrupted.
I know what it's like to want to die. How it hurts to smile. How you try to fit in but you can't. How you hurt yourself on the outside to try to kill the thing on the inside. I tried groups, didn't work out just made my depression a lot worse.
