I just spoke to the nurse in charge and the letter is wrong, I cannot have anyone with me, not even in the waiting room :( It's tomorrow and now I don't know what to do. I will take some PRN with me.

I did, I said I needed emotional support because of PTSD. They said to keep everyone safe it's patient only. Which I do understand but I feel unheard and scared.

It's in the morning so at least I don't have to wait all day.

I can imagine you're feeling unheard and scared.
I do understand that it's to keep people safe but I also think exceptions should be made in circumstances like yours.

I think it's worth pushing for that way someone else you trust can at least listen in and be aware of what is going on.

Is it worth mentioning this to your CPN in case you need any further procedures? I’m sorry they weren’t helpful when you called. What was their suggestions when you explained why you needed someone with you? Thinking of you today/tomorrow x

I mentioned it to my old CPN but I just got a new one the other day so I will mention it to her too, and I think it should be on my notes. They said on the phone there are nurses there etc and they are empathetic. Not much was suggested really and there was only a general advice thing in the letter they sent. I don't have long to wait now so I'm trying to stay distracted this morning at least.

I’m really sorry you had to go through that. That is not ok, not at all. Did you manage to get done what needed to get done?

Please be kind to yourself right now, you deserved better care and you didn’t get it- which is their failing, nothing you’re responsible for. When you’re feeling more settled then please consider making a complaint, I’m happy to support you with doing that if you want to xx

I got what needed to be done... But I regret even going because it was a bad experience and I feel like I went through so much anguish to feel crap/in physical pain now with no idea what to expect because I was given no solid aftercare instructions. They did say I could remove my mask at one point because I felt I couldn't breathe and was crying; I was given tissues so there is that. Gah, the NHS is under SO much pressure and here I am moaning about something so trivial! Sorry.
