Songs about eating disorders *may trigger*

We have self harm, we have psychosis.. why not EDs?

The first one i think of off the top of my head is Courage - Superchick

There was a thread about it

I think it's removed?

Or may be i am wrong...

I know loads of songs about it, but i am not sure if i should post due to the triggery nature of them.

Stay safe xx

Caedmon's Call - Piece of Glass
Barlowgirls - Mirror

These ones aren't very triggering, have loads of others on my iPod but don't know how many of them are appropriate. Will dig it out.

I give myself very good advice
But I very seldom follow it
Could explain the trouble that I'm always in...

Ana's Song by Silverchair... although I don't recommend that song because it is completely and utterly sh*t, and (with the exception of one line which is actually quite clever) pretty badly written.

4st. 7lbs. by Manic Street Preachers is a FANTASTIC song, but its quite disturbing; the lyrics are extremely graphic (in a good way) and the music is a bit jarring (in a very good way). Its a brilliantly written song (its written as a series of diary entries by a young girl, although the song itself was written by a man suffering from anorexia).

Thank you for all of your help and support. I will no longer be coming to RYL. Semi-explanation will be inside my profile.

Kelly Clarkson has/had an ED didn't she? I swear I read that somewhere though I may be making that up.....

As a little kid you believed in fairytales,
that fantasy of what your life would be: white dress; prince charming who would carry you away to a castle on a hill.
You closed your eyes and had complete and utter faith.
Eventually you grow up. One day you open your eyes and the fairy tale disappears.
But the thing is, it's hard to let go of that fairytale entirely because almost everyone has that smallest bit of hope, of faith,
that one day they will open their eyes and it will come true.

I got that from: http://www.usmagazine.com/kelly_clarkson_i_was_bulimic
...And she says she just stopped cold turkey and "snapped out of it." Hmm, I should have said "bulimic," she seems to just be throwing around the term.

I once wrote an article about that Kelly Clarkson song in relation to ED and SI...was in the magazine Sugar once...wow that were a long time ago.... I only wanted the £50 lol...

On my iTunes...

Yellow by Coldplay
The chorus has been said to be on about an ED with the whole skin and bones and turning into something beautifulness....
