So, today is Sunday, and we're hoping as many people as possible will take part in 1234 today. Please keep bumping the thread when you're done. :)

1 day, 2 forums, 3 replies, 4 smiles.

Take care everyone.

We won't all be here this time next year,
so while you can take a picture of us.
We're definitely going to hell,
but we'll have all the best stories to tell.

Did people prefer 5:5 over 1234?

I like the idea of both really.

I think 1234 might allow for more in-depth replies, rather than replying to five posts purely because they have fewer than five replies. I really like that the 1234 encourages replies across the boards, too.

IDK, i kinda preferred 5:5 because I tend to only hang around in one board, and also because it meant that people that were being missed got some more replies. However, I think back then the boards moved an awful lot faster and at the time RYL was rather 'clique-y' so it encouraged people to respond to people they hadn't spoken to before. (if that makes any kind of sense). Today I would struggle to find 5 threads with less than 5 replies that I felt I could respond to.

I like that idea too. :) I'd never heard of it. I like the idea of replying to threads that don't have many replies. Every once in a while, at night I'll look for new threads in serious, since not many members are on at that time to see it or reply. (I'm in the US so maybe that's when all you UK members are sleeping? :P) I think I'll try to do that more often, as well as looking for threads that have been pushed down in various forums without many replies.

The 5, 5 one might disadvantage those who update their own threads as people may not even open them if it has a few replies but they might still need help. I try to look for few replies but also who the last poster was and if it was the thread starter to check in on that.
