What would people need to do for you to believe that they care? Treatments are being offered but you sometimes refuse them. Do you know what it is that you do want?

I don't think that's an option. If you had to put that option to the side what would be the next best thing?

I think discharge is an option though. Hopefully they'll realise I'm a lost cause and get rid of me

I think there's a bit of a contradiction between being in agony and wanting everything to be over, and saying there's nothing wrong and that you're fine - can you see that?

I understand that hospital is a difficult place to be, but flipping between wanting more support from staff and wanting to be discharged is probably making it harder for them to work out how best to help you.

It's a long way down

I feel your pain and I know first hand that the hospital can be a crappy place to be at, so I'm sorry you're feeling so low there. However, unfortunately I don't thing getting out of hospital without talking to any of the professionals is an option. The more you work with them, the faster they are going to discharge you, so it's probably in your best interest to open up a little more.

Thanks for understanding and I'm sorry you've been in such places too. My plan now is to lie my way out I think that's my best chance of getting out quickly.

And what happens if you get out when you're not feeling better?

Or maybe I'll just go back to my flat and try not to do anything. My cat needs me.

Wouldn't it be better if you were more well and therefore able to enjoy being at home more and stay there with your cat? I know hospital is really frustrating but your flat and your cat will wait for you.

I am starting to think that that would be better after speaking to the psychologist, nurse and my care co today. But I can't seem to get out the habit of lying. I just am too scared to be honest. People aren't fooling for it though and I even admitted to my psychologist that it was too hard to talk to her because I would hate to have to lie to her and that that's the only way I'll get out of here.

Just handed a razor in to one of the staff. Wanted to do a lot of damage. Hopefully there will be no reason to put me on section 3 now.

Please keep fighting to get through this safely. If people don't believe when you lie then it would seem like trying to lie is pointless. It is pointless anyway really in the long run, I'd encourage you to try your hardest to share your true thoughts and feelings so that you can get appropriate help rather than getting 'help/an outcome' that isn't tailored to how things actually are for you.

Thank you. It was hard. Pretty much crap staff on today but I'll think about what you said. I have my ward round tomorrow and I'm so anxious. So I guess I'll just have to see how that goes.

I know how hard it is when there aren't staff on who you feel able to talk to or feel comfortable with. I hope there are better people on for you tomorrow. I hope the ward round goes well, please try your best to be honest.

Thank you. I'm really scared that they'll put me on a section 3. It's not like I've not been on one before but I just don't think I can stay much longer.

My section runs out Thursday

What do you think you’ve done to show you don’t need a 3? What do you think you think you could change to make it less likely?
