Never used hairspray. I used to use my sisters as a flamethrower though.

It's no more unhealthy than using hairspray on your hair.

When I'm going out getting absolutely wasted, sometimes it gets smudged and I look even more wasted. But with hairspray, not so much :D It is win.

I have also done that, but with my mothers.
Even when I used to wear makeup I never did that although sometimes I did spray myself in the eye with it when putting up my hawk.

They do it on set/stage because the lights can cause the make up to run. I assume somewhere along the line they decided to try it for nights out/dancing/clubs/lights.

My friends makeup always looked awesome and could never figure out why.....then on a night out she attacked me with hairspray.

Needless to say my makeup stayed put though a bit of warning would of been appreciated.

ok, well I can understand on stage as those lights are bloody hot... but don't think going out to a club or whatever is on the same level... I've never had a problem with make up running anyway

There are times to stay put, and what you want will come to you.
But there are times to go out into the world and find such a thing for yourself.

I used to do that!
But for some reason, it caused really bad break outs and bad allergic reactions.
It also made my face feel a little stiff.

But I don't wear make up often enough to use hair spray anymore.

Come on, skinny love,
Just last the year.

I'm a dancer so I do this before every comp... and also on nights out and such because it does work :D ... though, I've never really heard of people who aren't competative dancers (its a common thing to do in this circle apparently) doing it... yay, the wisdom is spreading! :D

lol okay just wow I have never heard of this before.

I don't even use hair spray on my hair because it just makes it all stiff and blah so there is no way I am using it on my face. Than again the only part of my make up that does tend to run is my eyeliner but that can easily be fixed by getting a different kind. I will admit though I hate hair spray since growing up my mom always used tons of it so every time I walked into the bathroom I got a nasty mouth full of it blah so gross.

The only weird thing I ever had to do was when my mom put me in beauty pageants as a kid and she would put Vaseline on my teeth *shudders* such bad memories.
