Just thought I'd share how pleased and proud I am. I'm a flute teacher, and two of my students did their grade 4 exams this term, and results arrived yesterday.
They both passed! Good solid 110+ (out of 150) passes.
Also, one of my students who I have had from when she was 7 has just finished primary school. She was totally silent for the 1st year or so, and by all accounts didn't really speak to anyone. Now she's playing Dorothy in her school play of the Wizard of Oz, singing and acting; lead role!
And my last student and her little sisters all got together and made me a card and some drawings.
I'm SO proud! I love my job!

I am currently:
aww that amazing well done to you and them.
i just sat my grade 7 it was thee most nerve racking thing i have done because i hadn't sat any exams apart from my grade 5 theory.
for the teacher that has the saxophone student...i feel ur pain lol. its just an instrument that i for some reason dont like...maybe its just the people who played it when i was at school where the saxophone had one dynamic and it was sadly loud lol
well done to everyone who passed there exams
I settled down
A twisted-up frown
Disguised as a smile
Well, you would've never known
I had it all, but not what I wanted
'Cause hope for me was a place uncharted And overgrown
“Never lose faith in yourself,
and never lose hope;
remember, even when this world throws its worst and then turns its back,
there is still always hope.”
I do have one, who is actually my favourite, but who was let develop an AWFUL habit by a previous teacher (breathing after every note!!) and it's taking forever to break.
And another who just won't practice. But I still love them all :)
