I have been a strict mobile phone shunner but I finally broke down and got an Android (Samsung). I was wondering if people have any apps they like a lot
So far I've only added Opera Mini since it gives the web page at reduced size so you save data space used.
I don't want to do the social sites on phone (I hardly use them on PC - I'm lazy and need more peeps lol). I'm leery of all the privacy invasions and data harvesting.
I will also get apps to track bikes rides, runs and walks. So far that means RunKeeper will be added.
I enjoy the app Zombies, Run! It's designed to make you run like 5k but to make it more fun the player is running from zombies, you plug headphones in & you can hear them!
Lol that's funny. We did have a bear on the loose here a few months ago. Maybe I'll make a new App. I'll call it "Bear Foot"
I just realised I have to figure out how to answer the dang phone lol. I just got a call - the screen lit up - I pressed the green phone icon and - nothing. I guess I have to swipe or go to alerts page or something. Oh well IO guess its better than answering the phone accidentally by pressing screen in my pocket. That's what would happen with my non-android "feature" phone. I shall now call myself and practice lol
Duolingo, multi lingual app for learning different languages (French, Spanish, Italian, German and Portugese). Free and very accurate :)
That sounds good and I'll look into that one. I watched about a dozen "10 Must Have Apps For Android" videos on youtube and so far the only one I'm sure I'll get is Swiss Army Knife (for the compass, stopwatch etc)
Not really an app, but I'd be lost without imessenger - its great for stalking people and seeing whether they just haven't read it or whether you're being ignored.
Simpsons Tapped Out, quite liking that at the moment!
Plague Inc. for casually wiping out humanity while you're on the bus
And Aldiko, you can read word/PDF files etc and I download my open uni books onto it. Quite handy!
And Sleepbot, so I can track how many hours I sleep and it puts it on a cool little graph! My old psych recommends it to everyone now!
I'm fine! Totally fine. I don't know why it's coming out all loud and squeaky, 'cause really, I'm fine!
You press the button before you go to sleep.
If say, you take an hour to get to sleep, you can edit it the next day and just add an hour to the 'fell asleep' time!
It can also track movement and sound.
And tells you the average amount of hours you sleep
