I am so deeply shocked to hear what's happened at the Ariana Grande concert. I am praying for the families, people of manchester and friends at this sad time.
However, I do think that action needs to be taken to prevent further attacks.

Have you ever confused a dream with life? Or stolen something when you have the cash? Have you ever been blue? Or thought your train moving while sitting still? Maybe I was just crazy. Maybe it was the 60's. Or maybe I was just a girl... interrupted.
I know what it's like to want to die. How it hurts to smile. How you try to fit in but you can't. How you hurt yourself on the outside to try to kill the thing on the inside. I tried groups, didn't work out just made my depression a lot worse.

I just would like to ask us to be cognizant of the fact that RYL does have Muslim members when posting.
I'm very sad about this as well as the attacks in the Philippines. I'm thinking of all of those affected by these tragedies and hope that we can work to stamp out far-right extremism such as Daesh, Golden Dawn, and the like, while not painting innocent parties who happen to share a common feature of race, religion, or country as terrorists. We need to come together in times like this. Thoughts are with all of you in Manchester and elsewhere.

hmmm.... if the plan of these extremists is to "divide and conquer", then they're doing pretty well at causing division and in-fighting.

This is a distressing event for lots of people. And people are entitled to feel upset, sad and scared etc by it.
And yes, it probably was only a matter of time before it happened. I accept that. But does that make it any less scary? Hell no.

This is awful. My thoughts are with all those involved. I'm a bit angry at that singer for being back in America so quickly. I don't care if she's shook up, think of the children. She should at least help those who now have to pay for funerals, or at the very least she should visit those children who are in hospital
