What's Up.
The minute movies come out in the cinema they already have a straight to dvd knockoff in stores.
Children know the difference and the aren't fooled for a second.
Personally I think any parent who buy these should have their children taken away.

The trouble is that making a dvd is now so cheap a company can produce these monstrosities an d can still make a profit.

If I was given those movies by my parents I'd report myself to child services. They clearly don't care enough about me to get the real deal.

some people just can't afford the real deal, this type of film usually cost a lot less than the original and well, isn't it better to give your kids one film(maybe a copy yes) than none at all? i really dont think you can say that parents who buy these films for their kids care any less than a parent who buys the original.

Update: I read in the metro today that Disney are taking the maker of Braver and Tangled Up to court for deliberately imitating their products to sell DVD's. Their main argument is that the cover art doesn't resemble the actual films but deliberately copies the disney movie posters.
The owner of the company who's made the copies has stated, "I very much doubt anyone would confuse our production with the wonerful work of Disney. If we thought consumers would mistake our film for Brave we would have renamed it."
Personally I don' know if disney have much of a case here I mean here is the poster for Brave:
