It's so much more fun making costumes yourself. And ususally a lot cheaper! haha

I wonder... if i can find unstyled wigs, in the right color on eBay? does eBay have "party color" wigs? Do you know?

You're right. It is SO much cheaper making the costume, but when i did a Sango cosplay i had to buy it. It was just so difficult to make and no one would help me at the time.
But i do love to make 'em!

I'm pretty sure ebay does different colour wigs. It's just getting the right one though isn't it because you want to be able to shape it to the character you're cosplaying.

EDIT: BTW Commoner-Kou, what is your avatar from?

Thank you so much for your help Black Rose!!! ^^d I will totally look into that. I usually get my friend to style my wigs for me. So I'll have to find the wig when she is there to approve it. ^^;;;

My avatar is from Soul Eater. It's the ending credit animation from... It think episode 21? 20? Somewhere in there. ^^d Their Maka and Crona. [[The two people from that show that I'm planning on cosplaying haha]]

Oh, and by the way. I LOVE your avatar and yaoi sig. ^^;; I've been meaning to tell you that for a while now. haha

I've not really met many others who cosplay
apart from a couple of my friends and this one
girl i saw once. So, it's really cool to see others
on here do it too! ^_^

Thanks for telling me too. Your avi just looks so cute
so i had to ask where it was from. :) Have fun cosplaying!

You, too! Do you go to any conventions? They're always going on! I'm sure you would really have fun and you would get to meet other cosplayers! I really recommend them! nods nods.

I live in England so we don't really have
many major conventions going on. :(
Otherwise i would really LOVE to go to one.
For the experience and meeting others like you said.

Usually it's just me and a couple of friends
going 'round town and what-not when
we cosplay. We get some right wierd looks
from other people. XD

and Gaara of the sand image(naruto)

I'm planning over...god...100 more >.< but my next is Ciel Phantomhive from Kiroshitsuji (black butler) image

Yes, I am a girl and Yes, I only do male cosplays or crossplays, but thats because i feel more comfortable in the male costumes. Plus i have a masculine face and features. It helps :P

Awesome, kona! I crossplay all the time, too. So don't feel bad... I probably do it the least out of all of the people in my group. haha.

Do you have pictures of you in those costumes? I would love to see them!!! ^^d

I love going to Conventions and seeing all of the cosplays. The really good ones are definitely a form of art. I've cosplayed once, as Lain in her bear pajamas... from Serial Experiments Lain.

It's Crona and Maka from Soul Eater! I'm working on both of their costumes! ^^

What conventions do you go to, Nell.?

This. My friend Dan does it every year at London Expo but I never have. I want to though, when I get a bit more confidence. I want to be Sakura from Naruto or Misa from Death Note!

That would be awesome! Maybe you could go with your friend? It's always more fun and less scary when you have friends with you!

Sakura and Misa I think are good characters to start off with, as their costumes aren't too terribly complicated. ^^d

I cosplay. I love it alot I mean it's great fun to just dress up as someone else and just take a break, I more crossplay then cosplay but I've always been a tomboy so it kinda makes sence.

I'm going fabric shopping tommorow so that I can start on remaking my kingdom hearts II sora cosplay I can't wait!

Yay I found the otaku on here! :)
I'm working on an Ikuto (from Shugo Chara) cosplay for Halloween/Akicon. I got my ears for free since I work in a shop that sells anime related stuff and they were damaged beyond the point of being able to be sold. I'm going to need to get some fabric spray for them to change the color they're still gonna look awesome. Thrift shops are amazing for cosplay, so once I get some money together I'm going to go hunting for pieces I can mod for his uniform. OMG I CAN"T WAIT TO FINISH IT!
