If you use coverup or something for scars, put A product called She Laq, http://www.sephora.com/browse/produc...hString=shelaq, I know it says lipsticka dn stuff, but I heard it probably works on foundation, cover up, etc.

The red cross skin camoflague is really good, they have every shade imaginable.
The woman who saw me was thrilled because she got to use her "celtic colours" because I'm so pale.
Also, you can get a product called Dermatix, which is a gel that you use twice a day to reduce hypertrophic and keloid scars.
It costs £30 for a tube, but you can get it on prescription from most GP's if you ask for it.

Lush massage bars are great as they are made from shea and cocoa butter... they last ages, cost about £4 and they smell great!
Superdrug make own brand vitamin E oil- really cheap at £1-99- its a small bottle but you only use a teeny amount so it lasts ages- they also make tea tree oil which is a great antiseptic :)
Avoid palmers scar serum if you're a veggie- it contains shark liver oil
Vertese make non-gelatin coated vitamin E capsules, available in most chemists, health food stores or larger supermarkets

I dunno if anyone can help me on this but my scars are all over my forearms from my elbows to my hands an alot of them are raised so i dnt think things like dermablend etc will work too well an also i would need an awful lot of it but i dnt wanna b stuck wearing long sleeves all summer any ideas?

Something NOT to do. I did last year and got an infection and it stung like a bitch!!
On an open wound/semi healed wound, please do not put foundation on there. I used face foundation and it not only stung but i got an infection.
Just warning others because it's hard to explain to a doctor :)

Yeah, lol, I did the same thing for gym class one day, and had the same effect. It hurt like hell, still looked horrible, and got very infected. I definitely suggest long sleeves until it heals enough to close up.

Sometimes I just carry around a sweater draped over my worst arm. Doesn't raise too many questions, and if you get too uncomfortable you can always suffer the heat and wear it.

I talked to a dermatologist (I had to look up how to spell it ) a couple of years ago (I hadn't intended for him to see my scars, but once he did, I thought I'd just act casual and go with it), and he recommended mederma, but when I tried it, it completely dried out my skin. It made my skin really flakey all the time but didn't seem to reduce the appearance of the scars at all. I suspect it's because a lot of the scars were pretty old, and some of them are slightly raised. I think it might have been more effective if I had been using it as soon as the cuts healed.
okay i scar easily and they fade really slowly and the scars are always dark a few rasied.. but i also burn in the sun so i always get to use the excuse i burn so my doctor suggested i wear this.. and just become obsessive about applying sunscreen every hour or 2 and people will go with that. also for upper thighs where you don't want like really long shorts for swimming they make like medium length ones. i have those and love them! also the whole knee length shorts are in... i sweat a lot. on hot days i don't like tees because my armpits sweat so i am in tank tops a lot and i have the scaring elbow to hand and i kind of just gave up and let them be there only a few are really noticeable to people who don't know.. but i have cats, and everything scars me.. even a simple brush with a small thorn bush so some scars i have are legit.. so if not to many are noticeable you could always say you scar easy.. and that your a clutz which can be quite believable.
i've never found the foundation or concealer to work... but i do the carrying a sweater thing and i learned how to cross my arms just right.. also if your not like using your arms and your just leaving your room you can hold them behind you (i do this a lot)
oh and im kind of excited to hear the sun helps because i am going to the beach for a week and i burn so easily but i know how to apply sunscreen properly know (every hour as my dermatologist recommended) so hopefully i wont burn but maybe tan )
