Congrats tamobhuuta. Like Lindsay said the support is still there if you need it. Don't be afraid to ask for help.

Hello, I'm back. I think I need to talk. I've got an appointment with the psych next week and I both wish it was sooner and and am really nervous. I've made a list of everything I want to talk about. Does anyone know how to stop being anxious about it?

Sometimes it can help to tell yourself that worrying about the appointment won't change what is going to happen at the appointment and that it's better if you stay in the here and now and focus on other things. It sounds like you're well prepared for the appointment anyway so there's no need to think about it much. I know it's not as easy as that though. Are there soothing or distracting activities you can do? Or do you want to talk through any specific worries you have, either here or with someone else? I hope your appointment goes well.

Thanks, that helps.

This evening is difficult. I was feeling a bit anxious and just now some of the voices popped up. It was the ones the Man said came from the implant last time they were here. I refused to pay them attention because I don't want to go down that road again.

Not sure what to say on Friday when I see the psych. I don't want to exaggerate or minimize what's going on. Any advice?

I'm glad your appointment went ok. Do you think you will be able to eat a bit more? How are you getting on now?

It seems like it's only you who has that belief, I can see why it must be hard to eat more if you feel like you're already eating too much. Does anyone know how you feel?

Yes, I had a chat with my mum and she tried to reason me. I think I'm coming round to the idea but right now I want to purge.

It sounds like a battle, I'm sorry you're having to go through this. Do you manage to share things with your Mum often?

Yeah and she's very supportive.

I didn't purge.

I'm going to keep a food diary so I feel more in control. But I am worried I will see that I am eating too much and panic.

I've got intrusive thoughts about SHing to punish myself. I don't want to act on them but I don't seem able to get rid of them.

You are strong for not wanting to act on the thoughts, it might be hard to get rid of them but that doesn't mean you have to act on them. You don't need any punishment. Would it make you feel worse if you instead tried to do something nice for yourself?

Keeping a food diary could be good if you can share it with the people involved in your treatment. Then you could see clearly what's going on and you can all share your opinions and talk through your specific worries about what you have or haven't eaten.

Those are good ideas. I have undereaten today, only by a little bit but I showed my mum.

More importantly, my sister is very suicidal. How can I help her? I can't lose her.

I'm sorry your sister isn't doing well, I can understand your concern. What has helped you when you've felt that way? Does she have any support?

I needed someone to help me fight the voices, but my sister doesn't hear voices, she has depression. She has professional and family support but the longer this goes on the less reason she sees to stay alive.

Has she been through periods like this before? Does she know what would help? Remember that it isn't up to you to make things better but of course let her know you're there for her if you can help at all. Encourage her to engage with her support. Also look after yourself too.

Yes she has had this before, but this episode has been going on a long time and the CMHT are running out of ideas. She might be able to have ECT again, that helped last time. Enough to keep her alive anyway.

Ok this is probably weird but I wondered if anyone has the same problem...

When I get tired I lose track of what people around me and myself are saying. I then get really stressed because I can't remember their exact wording. Which means keeping up with conversation is very difficult and I get more stressed. This can go on for hours.

I've tried to Google this but no one seems to have the same problem.
