I would like to add that meditation is super important here.
You know you can get all the help in the world but if you do not go within you and listen to your soul, you won't be able to find what are you trying to fill in - what is that gap that you are trying to stuff with food.. what is that link between you and your soul?
having recovered from the most tremendous binge eating (22 years of it!!) i realised that my disorder was a SPIRITUAL ISSUE.. I was lost, i did not know who i was and i was trying to stuff that empty space with food.. always...
that gap between me and my soul got so deep that i had to stuff it whenever i experienced any kind of feeling that was 'unhappy' feeling..
and when i got on my knees and started praying and asking for help from higher power i received a healing - i received a miracle.. i am free now. tears are running through my eyes as i write this. i thought i will NEVER recover.
so my advice would also be spiritual practice - and by no means i am saying you need to start going to church or believe in something that is against you. spirituality is actually finding YOURSELF, listening to that DEEPER CALLING, inner voice. that is what i call spiritual practice... it is asking and receiving guidance, it is letting universal energy heal you and get you to your REAL SELF. who is beautiful, who is eternal and who is so loved.
