You are not a burden. Your family and friends will want to help, so maybe you should try speaking to them. It's always good to have someone to talk to.
Is the help you are receiving helpful? Maybe you can talk to them about how you are feeling so they can decide how best to help you.
It does take time, but keep reaching out. Try distractions too. Crafts, art, tv, meeting friends etc. I know this is hard, so I truly do sympathise.
