Hi

Hi. My name is Kate. I'm 28 and have been mostly free from self harm for several years but have slipped up recently due to some high stress and no one believing me about my health issues which has made my already bad depression a bit worse. Anyone have any advice on how to cope with the urge sometimes? Somedays I am so depressed I don't want to do my master's homework or go into work.

I am currently:

Hi Kate. Sorry to hear you've slipped up lately. What helped you to stop in the past?

I totally understand depression affecting motivation to do things. Not sure what the answer is unfortunately. Maybe if you post in the support forums then more people are likely to see it and offer some advice.

Welcome to the forums. =)

Hi Kate, welcome to RYL. I'm sorry you're feeling so low right now. It can be very hard to deal with. Please post in the support boards if you need to. I hope you find it helpful here. Take care.

I put it down on paper and then the ghost does not ache so much.

Don't try to calm the storm, calm yourself, the storm will pass.

You didn't come this far just to come this far.
