Stomach issues

So over the past month I've been getting up in the early hours of the morning being sick at least 5 times this month and at least another 3 times nearly being sick again. I have been having acid issues recently too, and egg burps (worst thing ever). I'm not sure whether to go to see GP or not. I don't want to waste their time.

I'd definitely go see your GP, it isn't a waste of time at all. Especially as this has been going on for a month.

I am currently:

Have you ever taken any over-the-counter medications to manage the acid reflux? If not, it would be worthwhile popping into a pharmacy and explaining your symptoms and they will be able to recommend some indigestion remedies.

Oh, and it definitely wouldn't be wasting your GP's time- just suggesting a pharmacist as a first port of call if you might find that easier.

You definitely would not be wasting your GPs time. It's what they are there for, and under no circumstances would they think this was wasting their time.

Being sick this frequently is going to negatively impact your health in a big way, and no one can properly diagnose what is causing this other than GP that can complete thorough tests, look at your medical history, diet, etc.

Seeing your doctor is really not scary, you could even take a friend or family member if you were feeling a little unsure.

Just to add... To try to help with the reflux avoid eating late at night and try small frequent meals. Avoid typical triggers eg alcohol, spicy food, fizzy drinks.

Always seem to get things just that little bit wrong.
