Now I want to hack my arms to pieces. Double woe.

Please give me some reasons not to cut more.

I'm sorry to hear you slipped up, but remember it's not the end of the world. It doesn't mean you're back to square one or that you need to keep doing it again, it simply means that at that moment the urges were too strong.

Can you speak to the staff about what caused you to self-harm..? Perhaps they could offer you some added support right now..?

You're amazing lovely, and so very strong. You don't need self-harm to be a part of your life. Next time could you try writing a pros/cons list for self-harming - pros of harming/cons of harming/pros of not harming/cons of not harming..? It can help put your mind in a more logical state.

Would it help to talk to us about what caused this..?

I did talk to staff in the end. I'm unsure as to what caused me to relapse. Urges just came out of the blue and it seemed like a good idea at first but then I just couldn't stop.

I can give you lots of reasons not to cut more: you're wonderful, strong, fabulous, supportive and don't deserve to hurt yourself. You deserve to recover and be happy.

I am glad you managed to talk to staff. This is just a blip, it doesnt undo your recovery... just means you pick yourself up and continue and I know you can do that because as mentioned above, you are a strong lady

I am going to write all these positive things down to remind me when I get urges. As I keep getting urges. It went away for ages and now it feels like my old friend SH has come back to haunt me.

Me and mum are in the process of making a "Soothe Box" so hopefully that should help with distractions.
