SI Question - I think I need stiches

I cut myself today & I think I need to get one of them stitched. I'm seeing my GP at 4:30 & they do minor surgery at the center there too, I was wondering if a nurse there could stitch me?

I would think so, I've always gone to A+E for stitches, but have been steri-stripped by nurses at the doctors. It's definately worth asking your GP to have a look and see if he can do anything for you.

The following content has been hidden - Reason : Graphic
its not that wide but when i pull it apart,, i can see little white bits & like the top layers of my skin can just be pulled off.

do you think i still need them?

Yeh because though it is not wide on the surface it is underneath and when you move it will pull the edges apart. Also, because of the depth it does need to be evaluated so I'd definately mentionit to your GP/ it's a bit late for me to say that now so if you haven't get it checked this eve my other means such as a Walk-in Centre/ Minor Injuries Unit/ A&E. Minor Injuries Units and Walk-in Centres are often quieter and much quicker that A&E so for something like this I would actually recommend a MIU if there is one close.
