"Cecilia, it's Ok," Ahren whispered, holding me tight. "Everything's going to be alright."
I looked around the room, at myself, seeing an IV in my arm, bruises everywhere...sure as hell didn't look alright to me.
"Alright?" I questioned loudly, tears flowing out of my eyes. "How is any of this ****ing alright?"
My memories were flooding back to me. Everything that happened over the last few hours were running through my head. My body's so sore, almost like I can feel every bruise, every abraision; inflicted on my body.
"Calm down," Ahren hushed. "That ****er isn't going anywhere, Seb and Dan made sure of that."
Wait a minute. what about Mer? I remember her fighting that ****er.
"I'm certain that Mer was fighting that guy, wasn't she?" I asked, hoping that I wasn't imagining things. A worried look placed itself on Ahren's face for a moment, then he began to speak.
"She was," he said. "Probably broke a few bones in his body."
I felt a bit of a smile creep its way onto my face. I just couldn't help it. Imagining this man suffering pleased me greatly.
"Where's Mer?" I asked. "I want to see her..."
"I'm sorry," Ahren said sadly. "But you can't..." I cut him off.
"Why?" I yelled, outraged at being denied my request. "Why can't I see her?!"
"I really don't think now is the time to tell you." He said, trying to lay me down on the bed. "You just need to focus on recovering."
"**** my recovery!" I exclaimed. "Tell me why, now!" Ahren wrapped his arms around me again.
"She wouldn't want you to worry about her." Ahren stated, rocking me back and forth. "You know that."
"Not knowing is going to make me feel so much worse," I cried, "Please, tell me why I can't see her."
"Shh..." He hushed, still rocking me. "If I tell you, promise me you'll stay calm."
"I'll do my best." I said, wiping my tears away with my free arm.
"You can't see Mer because she is in the ICU." I could feel my heart drop with every passing word. "She got cut up pretty badly trying to save you..."
"What..." I gasped, my heart skipping a beat. "No..." My eyes rolled into the back of my head and I blacked out.

I have managed to get incredibly ill once again...but I shall think positive since I am not dead...slowly but surely writing out another update for those that are still interested. I had one...but I accidentally ruined it(use your imagination cause I'm not telling how I ruined the damned thing.)
I'm pretty sure my entire gastric system is pretty sick of me by now...haha...it should be happy that it is still alive...
I digress...ranting makes helps me ignore how nauseous I am at the moment...

An exerpt from Cecilia's diary
I'm back in this familiar realm of darkness deep inside my mind. It's hardly calming, there's so much going on around me, I can barely think. I am far from the concious world, but I hear the echo of voices...very familiar voices...
"How's she doin'?" Dan spoke. "She looks so exausted."
"Yeah, I told her what happened to Mer and she kinda freaked out..." Ahren answered. "Where's Seb?"
"He went upstairs not too long ago." Sara stated. "Mer's out of the ICU..."
Mer!
My eyes shot open as if her name was some sort of command to wake up. I awoke to Ahren, Dan, and Sara sitting in chairs around my bed, looking at me like I was a ****ing lunatic.
"Where's Mer?!" I questioned, shooting up into a sitting position. "Where?!"
"Cecilia..." Ahren said calmly. I chose to tune him out.
"Whoa, good morning, starshine!" Dan said. "How're ya doin'?"
"Don't 'good morning, starshine,' me!" I yelled. "I want to see her now!"
"CECILIA!" Ahren bellowed, startling me into silence. "YOU NEED TO CALM THE **** DOWN OR YOU'RE GOING TO FAINT AGAIN!"
Ahren hardly ever spoke above a monotone pitch, let alone yell. That was something he did when he needed to get a serious point across. I heeded his instructions and layed back down, resting my head on my pillow...a tear creeped down my cheek. He sat himself down beside me. putting his hand on my head, running his fingers through my hair.
"Thank you," he said, very quietly. "Now, let Dan and Sara fill you in on what's going on." I said nothing, but nodded to let them know that I was listening. Dan and Sara rose out of their chairs, walked over and sat down on the other side of my bed.
"We saw her a few minutes before we came in to see you," Dan began. "She's doing alright now." That didn't make me feel any better. "Alright" was not the word I wanted to hear because it doesn't tell me anything about what's going on. "She's still sleeping, but don't worry, Seb is with her now."
"What did they do to her?" I asked softly. "Please, I promise to stay calm." Dan hesitated, looking at Ahren for permission to continue the story. He nodded, letting Dan carry on.
"This part is kind of hard to talk about..." Dan shrugged. "But I will do my best." I rose up and rested my head on Ahren's chest, who continued to play with my hair to keep me calm. "Mer got really hurt while trying to save you...but you know her, she didn't let that stop her from trying to kill that man who...you know..." I could feel tears welling in my eyes just from mentioning that guy.
Dan continued speaking.
"She was coughing up blood and...it was just terrible. She passed out not too long after that." It was so hard to keep from breaking down... "Seb and I did our best to keep her from bleeding to death...I'm happy to say that we were successful. It was a quiet trip here until Mer woke up in the parking lot of the emergency entrance."
It was like I was listening to a scary campfire story, I was so terrified, but I still wanted to hear the rest of the story.
"They ended up having a small army of security guards apprehend her in the middle of the parking lot...and sedated her so they could tend to her wounds...we got here just in time." Tears were flooding out of my eyes now, but hearing that they managed to get her help in time make me feel loads better. "What we know is they had to do one blood transfusion and they put about 500 stitches in her torso."
I felt so bad...she had to go through all that...because of me.
"Don't you worry now," Sara chimed in. "She's doing just fine now, they gave her painkillers and everythang!" Sara's warm words...and her apparent southern accent, cheered me up. "She's just sleeping now..."
As that statement left Sara's mouth, we heard a loud crashing noise out in the hall. We were sure to be silent so we could here what was going on. It sounded like a bunch of doctors and nurses were freaking out about something.
"Hey, get back here now!" a male voice commanded through the walls.
"You are in no condition to be up right now!" A second, female, voice yelled.
Listening carefully, we could here an almost inaudible, albeit, toked up voice from who I guessed was a patient they were trying to apprehend.
"Sounds like somebody isn't happy with hospital beds or something," Ahren chuckled.
More voices joined the three already there, trying to get this one patient back in their room. The noises got louder, the voices got closer...it sounded like total chaos...and this one person was causing it all.
"Wait...listen to that," I said, listening to what this AWOL patient was yelling. "It couldn't be..."
There was a loud screech and something thudded against the door. All of us just froze, staring at the shadow in front of the opaque window. The door handle was rattling as this person pounded against the door. After the third pound, the door flung open, causing this AWOL patient to fall right on their face inside our room, their hospital gown opened, revealing that there was nothing on underneath...
"Oh my God," I gasped, stifling off laughter. "Well, what do ya know..."
We couldn't help but burst into laughter at this entire predicament.
"Ow..." she slurred, muffled by the floor. It was so obvious they had her toked up on painkillers.
The renegade patient was none other than Mer...with her bare ass sticking straight up in the air.
