I am currently:
Support Worker

The mental health team refuse to allocate me a support worker. Which I believe I need. I'm only on benefits. But I'm gonna have to pay for one.

Does anyone know where I would find one. Would help if they knew a bit about mental health

Hi, im sorry to hear your mental health team won't allocate you a support worker. If you haven't already, maybe try explaining the reasons why you need one/what sort of things you need help with, or even put it in writing.

You can search for care companies (which employ support workers) on the CQC website which should include contact details. It should also say if they specialise in mental health.

I have tried to explain for over a year why I need one but I'm getting no where. They just refuse to give me one.

I shall have a look on that website see if I can find anything

Have you tried mind or rethink or if you live in London then Hestia? They all do mental health support workers.

Do you know if you would possibly be able to get self directed support, where you get a budget and decide on what support you want to pay for?
