The whole treatment thing
I thought it would just be couple of weeks to get back on the clozapine but they're suddenly forcing glucose and meds and threatening tube feeding and ECT.
it's just escalated so much
I want to go home
I'm fine! Totally fine. I don't know why it's coming out all loud and squeaky, 'cause really, I'm fine!
That's a lot to cope with. *hugs if ok* Hopefully they will find a treatment that works and you can get home. Try and trust people as much as you can, they want you to get better and go home too.
I put it down on paper and then the ghost does not ache so much.
Don't try to calm the storm, calm yourself, the storm will pass.
Good news is that they won't force feed me because my bloods are still semi ok.
Gastroenterologist suggested an ED unit but as I do not have an ED, it would be pointless.
I am on a section 3
I am starting ECT on Thursday.
I'm fine! Totally fine. I don't know why it's coming out all loud and squeaky, 'cause really, I'm fine!
My mum got a call from the doctor yesterday. The doctor told her pretty much everything.
Mum agrees with the section 3.
I think I'm having my first ECT thingy tomorrow because the other doctor came and did loads of tests.
Mum said to call her afterwards because she is worried, even though doctor explained about ECT and there is nothing to worry about.
Im annoyed that my mum was told everything because now she is worried which is what I was trying to avoid.

I would definitely be annoyed too if someone was told things I didn't want them to know. Please try not to focus too much on how your Mum is worried, look after yourself and then hopefully she will be able to let go of at least some of her worries soon. Does your Mum have other people to talk to if she needs to? I hope tomorrow goes well. How are you doing today?

Don't try to calm the storm, calm yourself, the storm will pass.
I think she'll be less worried once I have the first ECT thing.
I'm not sure who she will talk to.
She probably talks about it with my step dad and one of my brothers.
I've had a headache all day but apart from that ok.
Its all bank staff on today so they haven't been hassling me so much about food and drink.

I have heard ECT isn’t actually as scary as media has portrayed. They litrally but you to sleep and then send electrical stimulus into you via the pads on your head which is lirrally like a ECG sticker. They do the electrical stunts to a point that your body has a fit. The fit is then timed. And you got into recovery and get woken up and you go back to the ward.
People say it does cause headache.
How do you feel about it?

I didn't have my first session today because I had to have sugar at 7am because my blood sugars were low.
I'm supposed to be nil by mouth.
So had an assessment today, met the doctor and anaesthetic and one of the nurses and got shown around.
It seems very relaxed and the staff were nice.
I did spot that it said on one of the forms that my doc has said I do not have capacity which I am annoyed about

Did they say when they are planning on giving you ECT next? Hope you find out soon so that you aren't in the lurch.

Thanks Dawn
I'm having it on Monday.
Which gives me a whole 3 days to start freaking out about it
I don't even know how they are going to get a cannula in when no one can even get blood from me!!

I think I said this a while ago, but when you start eating/drinking again after not for a while, the body gets confused and doesn't really know what to do with it.
It's not a sign of contamination being worse, or that it was a bad idea. It's a sign that it is going to take some time for your body to readjust. The BEST way to do that is to continue eating or drinking to allow your body to get used to it again. It's painful and uncomfortable, and it does suck. For me that in itself can often be motivation to keep drinking and keep eating so I don't have to go through it again.
I'm really proud of you for having some fortisip. I know that can't have been easy for you.
Please do not give me virtual hugs unless you are only using the hug function on threads. Thanks.
You can't always keep it separate.
This is happening, this is part of you.
Proud of you for having the fortisip. I agree with auror it is probably a reaction to having not eaten in a while and maybe a bit of anxiety? Pretty much everyone would be anxious about having something they think even remotely could cause them harm. You built food and drink up in your mind as this thing to avoid it isn't surprising if your body got a bit twitchy. (i hope you aren't offended by me saying this) please try again when you can it will get easier.
I guess it could be a reaction to having something after so long.
Doctor is talking about tube feeding again.
My ECG is 'borderline' whatever that means
And my bloods aren't great
She's gonna call medical doctor.
She said they are all concerned that I might not make it to monday to have ECT which is a bit of an overreaction.
Gah.
