I went to visit one of my old mates from uni who I hadn't seen for a couple of years. We spent most of the time reminiscing and moaning about how it's been almost 10 years since we graduated

But it was nice.

And now I've got another two weeks of holiday while everyone else is back to work tomorrow

My New Year's resolutions haven't started yet either, and I've just been reading a thing on the bbc website about how detoxing for a month is totally pointless so there's no need to even make that resolution :)

I'm not really new,I'm sure at some point a fair few years ago I used to randomly pop in.....pretty much what I do across the site.
I'm Amanda,28,have numerous pets,have had a couple of different usernames over the years but stick with only this one now....

To add to the os debate I'm a windows/Linux fan with a slightly altered iPhone lol.

Thought whilst intros were going on I'd say hi incase you see me around!

My laptop is almost six years old, and is still fine. *strokes it*

One good thing about the storms: I can't get in to work! Yay! As much as I need the money, I do enjoy getting the day off.

I think my Dell laptop would still be working if Darren hadn't slipped on one of Faith's bottles and smashed the screen...It was needing a new battery though

Well that was just full of fail, and is it just me or are the batteries always the first to go?, mine needs a new one thats why i'm using my desktop, also i find a desktop better.

Batteries can last a while if you look after them properly, but I don't think they are really able to go for years.

I suppose where i went wrong was always having it plugged into the wall, never really letting it die.

Laptops are the bane of my life,for some reason I prefer old style "box taking up loads of space" ones....I do own a laptop,poor thing is rather neglected though!
