Oprah's "Vegan Challenge."

Obviously I am bored during a blizzard and get minimal TV channels. Anyways, did this annoy anyone else? I am a strict vegetarian and actually tend to buy quite a bit of dairy substitutes, don't wear fur, leather, etc., but I dislike the fact that she purely focused on diet and didn't consider anything concerning cosmetics, clothing, etc...

I will commend her that she is bringing an "alternative" concept to the mainstream, though, and possibly encouraging people to question where their food comes from and how it is killed/processed.

Oprah does kind of irk me in general though, and I contemplated posting on her message board....However, I didn't want to register. lol Thoughts?

Im a vegetarian though I will admit that I have a 2 leather shoes and 3 leather handbags. In retrospect, I feel guilty. But my god, those shoes are gorgeous lol.
...I should probably work on that...

And oh how I dislike the obsession with Oprah. Im not going to say I dislike her, per se. I dont know her.

But I dislike how people go nuts over the slightest thing she says or approves of etc.
My friends buy books based on her suggestions and then cant even get past the first chapter. They then make me read them and give them the summary lol.

So even though she is now on to veganism...its just her trying to latch on to a topic that is currently "cool" or "hot".
