Yeah, ME2 and 3 are just as woeful. I wouldn't mind if the writers could, you know, write, and their 'progressive' approach to sexuality wasn't 'EVERYONE IS PANSEXUAL!'

Honestly, straight people will be severely marginalised and alienated in most sci fi universes.

I recently tried to play Assassin's Creed 1. Let's just say I rage quited really hard...

Close your eyes. Don't you cry. Love's around you. In time, you'll fly. Don't you worry about the dark. I will light up the night with the love in my heart. I will burn like the sun that will keep you safe and warm. Like the smell of a rose on a summer's day, I will be there to take all your fears away. With the touch of my hand, I will turn your life to GOLD!

Me too! People hyped it up so much and I got so infuriated with it so quickly. Apparently moving faster than a plodding walk was a crime in the Middle East back then. I never did try any of the other games, though I'm told they're very good.

That's the worst in the entire series.

The only ones you need to play are 2 and 4, and don't worry about the overarching plot because it goes so far into its own butt that the only way they could write themselves out of their own mess was to essentially massacre everyone. The stories of the characters themselves are all neatly contained, though.

I've finally gotten around to playing GTA V! I've also started on Pokemon Y, enjoying it so far. :)

I also have been playing Witcher (the first one). I have not touched it for about a week now - I wonder if I am bored of it too.

I have Witcher 2 - but not yet installed.

Witcher 2 seemed better but I still didn't get excited by it. First off the tutorial is a real drag. Too many battle commands, spells, potions, charts etc. I know I need to learn things with new games but I still just want to play something and not have to take a course on the instructions. Too many sword games kinda suck battle wise and they try to make up for it with hocus pocus. I also get weary of Geralt's voice (constant creepy monotone) and plodding tasks/quests. This year I've been forcing myself not to get bogged down in games that I really don't like that much. Fortunately I only buy on sale

I recommend someone take Isoverity up on that offer, it's an amazing game. Personally I'm going to start The Walking Dead: season 2 just after Christmas and with any luck my inability to play games due to depression will have cleared up.

If there are any Steam users I would HIGHLY recommend selling your trading cards if you aren't going to collect them. It is easy, easy money. They might only sell for a few pence, but it very quickly adds up.

Aaaaanyway, been playing a few things lately:
Rogue Legacy (who doesn't want a hero who is short-sighted, a dwarf and continually farts when jumping...)
Spelunky (bloody difficult!)
Dust: An Elysian Tale (really pretty game.)

I like to collect mine to get the badges.

I was playing project zomboid, though haven't played it in a week. Got Papers, Please in the steam sale last night, might give that a go later.

I have loaded up AvP - but am not going to spend too much time on it. It is a hell of a game though. Laptop seems to not like gaming, so may play in the real world for a while.
