I started this story awhile ago, but I've been to busy to finish it. Now that I've got some spare time, I think this is probably my que to finish it. This is what I've got so far, let me know what you think :)
Prologue
Ever imagine what life was like, without the sun? I’ll tell you. For one, you live in this state of constant fear. Each day, much time gets spent on ensuring that you are in the right place at the right time because as soon as the sun comes up, well... there isn't many places you can hide. Second of all, it’s always cold. We live in this permanent environment of darkness and gloominess; and if you could only imagine, it tends to get depressing after a while. For centuries, vampires have lived under the radar. Many are tired of living the lives they are forced to live... hiding from the sun like cowards and having to feed off of blood all the time. They want a cure, they need to change their lives before the madness takes over. Time is running out, along with the patience of many. Can the Council help them? Or will the madness take over the entire coven?
Chapter One
Alone in my room, I sit at my desk, fiddling with my pen slowly. As much as I try to keep my mind from racing, the unintelligible chatter outside my door keeps me from focusing. The guest must be arriving, which means I’ve got to swallow my thoughts and face everyone. A task that is surely going to tire me out, even though it seems easy. I mean, how hard is it to force a smile and make a little conversation here and there, right? Unable to keep my thoughts from wandering, I walk to the window. There isn’t much to look at, since the sun is gone, everything around lies in shadows. Yet again, my mind goes to a place which both scares me and excites me. A place where I can willingly walk out into the sun, where I can feel the warmth of the air around me. A chill runs down my spine, just as I hear the footsteps of someone approaching my door, breaking me away from thoughts. Quickly, I race to the other side of the door, with just enough time to answer the door before the visitor gets the chance to knock.
“I should have realized that you’d answer the door like that,” Alisa laughed, “but I won’t even lie you scared me.”
I smiled, stepping aside to let her in the room. Dressed in her best party clothes, she sat down on my bed careful not to wrinkle anything. Alisa is my best friend, she is always there for me whenever I need her, and I was beyond glad that she showed up tonight because she is exactly what I need to survive this party.
“Don’t you think that you should be getting ready for the party?” She questioned, smiling at my pajamas.
“Yeah, I guess so. I was considering faking a stomachache or something to get out of going, but I won’t make you face the crowd alone.” I laughed quietly; we don’t ever get sick so that excuse probably wouldn’t have worked, especially with my parents. Quickly, I walked to my closet to get everything that I needed and I headed to the shower, quietly thinking to myself. I really wasn’t going to looking forward to tonight, even with Alisa here.

*After I posted this, I realized that Ch. 1 seems really short. I'm not sure if I'm going to switch to Ch. 2 or stay in Ch. 1... but either way, there will be more if you guys like it :)
