Getting and staying asleep is hard, especially when you are in hospital. Maybe ask for zopiclone or similar at bed time.

I do take zopiclone at night. And lorazepam/promethazine.
But still get woken up by a screaming patient at 4am unfortunately

I'm fine! Totally fine. I don't know why it's coming out all loud and squeaky, 'cause really, I'm fine!

Who else is fine?!?!?

I'm unsure what to say but I hope you were able to get some sleep and they are treating you kindly.

Thank you Camden

I did sleep fairly well thanks.

The doctor said that a bed is being held for me in my home county but a nurse just said they are looking for a bed so I don't know what's going on.
Had to have prn I'm so nervous about moving.
I know the ward they are most likely to send me too and I hate it there. I would go literally anywhere else rather than that ward. It's awful.
I doubt my feelings will be taken into account though

Can you give them factual reasons why you don't find that ward helpful? I think if you can say, this ward is not helpful for me for xyz reasons, maybe that might be taken more into account than just, "I hate it there."

I have. I told the doctor this morning.
I'm wondering if it has been taken into account because this morning they apparently had a bed on hold but suddenly they haven't and they are looking for a bed.
Unless it's just a fuck up from mh services again.

Oh good about telling them. I'm really sorry about having to wait and not knowing where you are going. You'd think they would want to find ways to reduce stress levels, not increase them.

Exactly!
I told them I was really anxious about it and they gave me.some medication which has helped take the edge off.
It's 6pm now so i doubt they'll move me tonight.

Glad the medication helped. It sounds like you're really doing all the right things.

Hopefully you can just have a quiet night and get some rest.

I understand how not knowing and dealing with the uncertainty of it might be anxiety inducing. Hopefully you'll know what's gonna happen soon.

Well done for asking for medication and I am glad it helped.

I am proud of you for trying, must be hard given how you feel about things and putting the energy into that when you are struggling so badly.

Sending love <3

Thank you Lana <3

A nurse has just been in and asked what happened today with moving
Apparently I was supposed to move today but I didn't.
I'm really hoping this means I'm not going to horrible ward and they are waiting for a bed elsewhere. The other wards in the county are ok.

Hey guys.
I'm really struggling today.
I tried to do stuff yesterday
Despite this they have taken me off 15 minute obs and put me on hourly so I feel even more unsafe.
Adding to this, the staff today suck and ignore me when I knock on the office door or even when they are out on the floor. And one had a go at me because I wanted to put laundry on and it was nearly her break, even though I was told to ask her by another staff member.
So I can't talk to anyone today.
I don't know what to do

I'm sorry things are bad and that no one's listening or being helpful. If you're not already, could you maybe go and sit by the TV where there are other people around so you'd be less likely to do something unsafe?

Thanks np.
It's so noisy out there I'd rather not.
People are shouting at each other
I spoke to the deputy ward manager and asked if I could move wards. She said we'll speak to the ward manager tomorrow about it. I told her I didn't feel safe because they aren't doing the hourly checks and that the staff had a go at me for asking to put my washing on and about staff ignoring me. she said she's sorry and that is not ok.
I just hope things improve but I doubt they will.
And the noise is making the voices worse.

It sounds like the deputy ward manager listened at least.

That's fair enough about the noise. I wouldn't want to be out there either! Have you got stuff to watch or music to listen to instead?

Do you have headphones? Agree with np about trying to block out the noise that way if possible. Thats really not okay of staff to do. Well done for speaking to the deputy ward manager about it.

Thank you both
The deputy ward manager is pretty good. She's known me for a long time.

I've been watching films today.
Luckily I'm still allowed my headphones. Actually, I'm not sure they know I have them back :/
It's meds time thank god so hopefully I can sleep soon. I just want to be unconscious until I can see the doctor and ask to go home or at least get some leave

I have ward round tomorrow.
I doubt they'll let me go home but going to ask for some leave.
Is there anything else I should ask about?
I think they might think the contamination is actually real but won't admit it.
They have changed nothing about my treatment so I think this confirms that they know it's real.
I'm just so frustrated. If they know it's real then why aren't they helping me?

I think you could ask them what your treatment plan is and why they think their recommendations will help? Just trying to think of a way for you to be able to frame your frustrations that won't just be you accusing them of screwing up, as that might go over less well!
