It's a kindness/tea calendar. There are 24 little sachets with different types of tea and different acts of kindness to carry out. I can't arts and crafts though so it's not the prettiest of calendars!

1) I went on a 4am walk this morning which is something I do only when I am in a very bad place in my head. But I kept myself safe, looked at the Christmas lights for a bit and then came back home.

2) I met up with a friend for a drink this morning even though I am shattered and very withdrawn from things at the moment.

3) I said no to something a friend/patient I met in the MH ward last month asked me to do. I find conflict very very hard but I didn't think it would be helpful for her and it's not helpful for me so it was a big deal.

4) Instead of not eating like my head said to do, I went to my brother's to have a takeaway pizza and watching Elf for the evening with his girlfriend while he was out.

Everyone at work was nice to me today and the lady in the kitchen made me cheese on toast on my break and the shift wasn't as manic as it usually is.
Going to go buy some yarn and carry on with my Death Eater blanket.
Loving having a phone that is fully functioning! It's been a couple of years since I had a phone that has all working components.
Gonna get myself something lovely for dinner tonight.
My hair is super soft.
Got my pain clinic appointment and it's in 4 weeks which is much sooner than how long I usually have to wait for an appointment.

- after a full scale search, my missing exam papers were located
- nailed a top G (trumpet) in band rehearsal
- enjoying watching TV in my lounge with the Christmas tree and colourful lights!
- made a tasty pasta dish for dinner

- managed to do some cleaning.
- averaged 61wpm in typing practice which I deemed acceptable considering unfamiliar keyboard and indeed not even having used one for a couple of years.
- purchased the last 2 Etsy presents.
- enjoying the smell of the cinnamon things my mum gave me to hang on the Christmas tree.
- attempted a phone call.
- also made tasty pasta dish for dinner.
- felt like it was more productive than it appears here. Hmm. Might be wishful thinking.

- got to look at the Christmas decos at the garden centre with le support worker.
- had the rest of the gargantuan tasty pasta dish from last night's dinner for tonight's dinner (just added extra cheese).
- ticked off all the stuff on today's to-do list.
- including finally finishing making the advent calendar. It's crap.
- bought D the stand mixer he wanted.
- naughtily ate a gold coin. Like, a chocolate one, not a quid.
- managed to fit in two separate hot beverages with the parental units.
- averaged 68wpm in typing today.

- found a chocolate in one of the presents I ordered for my boyfriend (a free gift from the seller) so I ate it.
- Seeing my boyfriend more and spending more time with him
- Rats showing empathy
- Managed to avoid a dislocation by pressing my kneecap back into the right place. Painful but successful.

- taking the time to watch how the clouds moved at different speeds.
- everywhere is as usual except with added fairylights.
- bought ribbon and crafty bits and bobs.
- baked spuds.
- people seemed very smiley today, for the most-part.

My rest day has helped a bit.
Made a nice heart thingy.
Did some sewing type jobs and now I feel more at ease.
Dinner was super tasty.

Yesterday
- I'm needed on clarinet in a concert next week; excited to make my debut as a clarinetist!
- finally started writing my Christmas cards

Today:
- got some stuff done
- my tendency to carry around lots of tic tac boxes came in handy as a container for not one but two of the mini humans to take their fallen-out teeth home to the tooth fairy
- made some youths laugh
- didn't bleed to death when my bag attacked me for no reason and cut my finger
- had lots of fun at volunteering
- got in contact with an old friend who has been helpful in talking through a potential career change

Had a lovely impromptu conversation with a survey ship navigator who had just been to New Zealand.

I know this is from a few days ago now but I couldn't not comment and say how wonderful those things are Liv. Very proud of you.

- got engraved hip flask thing through post for my dad and they've done it really nicely for the price but now I'm regretting panicking and asking them to engrave the quote without quotation marks D:
- my hands smell like clementines which feels very 'Christmassy'.
- added extra red ribbon to the tree so it looks a little more plump now.

Yesterday:
- made children laugh
- got a good result at work
- made progress with a difficult class
- started rewatching the Harry Potter films
- got some Christmas shopping done
- nice phone chat with S

Today:
- had one of those little light bulb moments wth a student
- got an extra lunch break
- nice chat with some colleagues
- someone actually praised me for something, which is unheard of where I work!
- moved my desk around where I want it and was disproportionately thrilled by how the room looks now
- buying goodies in morissons
- lovely meal out with friends and got a really thoughtful Christmas gift
