I've never been on anything like Facebook or twitter or instagram. It's never appealed to me. However I'm thinking of changing my mind and using it for my art, to advertise my blog, follow other artists. My sister suggested twitter.
Part of me is wanting to rebel against it and stand my ground.
I like facebook but make sure you check all your privacy settings for what you want only certain people to see, friends to see, public to see etc. It's actually pretty easy once you get used to it and I find it fab for sharing news, achievements, general chatting etc. You get to choose your audience soas to speak. And you can have albums for different pics, art etc.
Twitter I've never really gotten on board with.
I don't really know enough about others to comment.

['There is only one thing we say to death. Not today'.']
'We are each our own devil, and we make this world our hell.’ – Oscar Wilde
‘It’s hard to dance with the devil on your back.’ Sydney Carter
With Twitter all your posts are public. You can't control who sees them. For example I found out that my psych has a twitter account and I could see all the posts that he made.
With Facebook you can control who sees them and if there's anyone you don't want to see your account you can block them. You can't block anyone from seeing your account on twitter unless they have a twitter account. With Facebook you can set it up so that only friends can see your posts.

I have a Twitter that I very rarely use, I have all my tweets as 'protected' so that only people I choose can see my tweets. Which is no one at the moment lolz
I'm on Facebook but again I don't have many friends there so I go on there maybe once a week if that, you can set that to private too
I used to have a Deviantart when I was younger which I loved, it's a good way to show off your art but you aamt choose who sees it. Unless they've changed the settings from when I was on there.
If you want to show off art I would go for Deviantart, you can follow other artists on there too.

I would probably suggest Instagram. Its all about sharing pics/art. Its simple to use (like really simple) and you can make it private if you like so you'd have to accept users to be able to view it.
Life can be beautiful if you let it.
Step back, breathe and take it in
Hello there, I advise instagram if you're looking to share your art and follow other artists, it's more picture base and less interaction with others if that what appeals to you.
Make sure not to provide any personal details and possibly best to watermark your work so people don't steal and pretend its their own.
Twitter, is personally not my favourite choice, well I only use it for music choices when a music channel giving you the choice, but it's more for keeping up with others and celebrities.
I'm an artist & I use Instagram the most for posting my work/art stuff etc. I have it linked to Twitter so it goes on there as well.
I find Twitter is only useful if you've got loads of followers or people want to like/retweet your stuff & you have to post A LOT to get noticed. With Instagram it's easier to get noticed or get followers because you can use up to 30 hashtags per post. (you can then put a link to your website/blog in your Instagram profile)
Oh Instagram is a good idea! I'd follow you on there because I love the art I've seen from you so far :)

I only just got facebook for the first time In December last year and to be honest It's been good for me cos I was able to keep I n contact wiith some new friends I'd just made at a gig and I was able to catch up with some old friends from my voluntary work.
it's been a good way to keep up with what my fave bands are doing and discover some new ones too.
