It's good that you really want to stop. How did you do it last time? Maybe thinking about that will help with the urges.

You can do it. =)

what helped alot last time was keep saying not now, maybe later. so keep postponing it. and lots of distractions

Well I game and draw alot, but the thing is, when I really have a strong urge to self harm I have a really hard time concentrating on anything else.

I completely understand how consuming the thoughts can be. You just have to try your hardest to keep postponing it. You said how motivated you are to quit and that is truly a fantastic thing - keep reminding yourself of the reasons why you want to stop.

What are the reasons you self harm? Such as is it to feel pain or to distract yourself from your thoughts etc? I find the postponing thing quite helpful too. Also, when I'm really motivated not to self harm I find it's quite therapeutic to write on the areas where I would self harm instead.

I put it down on paper and then the ghost does not ache so much.

I use a lot of opposite action... essentially doing the opposite of what I feel like doing (usually because what I feel like doing isn't healthy). So if I want to do something that would hurt myself, instead I do something that helps my body. If I want to stay in bed and mope all day, I make myself get up and go for a walk. If I want to avoid everyone, I make myself call a friend...

this is my magical medicine cabinet. Left to right they contain: courage, hope, calmness, and strength.

The magical part: They NEVER run out, so borrow some any time you want.

PM me anytime, I love getting messages :)
