General Medical Question - Non Urgent - Bruise :/

Hi, i was just wondering if any of you guys could help me. About a year and half ago, a bruise randomly appeared on the side of my head(where the temples are). I didn't fall or bang it or anything, and it's still there? I've asked my mum but she just said it's nothing. But i find it very strange and want to know why it's there. x

You could have done it in your sleep? I wake up with bruises in random places sometimes.

If it's just discolouration, then there's a chance that it's just a normal bruise that is taking a long time to fade. If you're still having pain or tenderness associated with it, you should see your GP or a dermatologist.
