I'm sorry you're having a hard time. It's really great that you're doing your best to stay safe though. Do you have any support workers coming at some point soon? Is there someone who you can offload to? Sometimes it helps just to talk, I know you're worried about being admitted to hospital so maybe you could try talking to your Mum or someone if they are good at listening.

With struggling to concentrate on TV and films, could you watch short YouTube videos instead? Are you still in bed? Does it help to be in bed or do you think you'd feel a little better in another room/place?

Thanks for your reply. I have a support worker coming for a couple of hours tomorrow morning. I've spoken to my mum about it but she's struggling herself atm.

I'm scared because when I went to A&E last night they told me to come back if I was still feeling unsafe and then they would admit me. I really don't want to go back into hospital.

Watching short YouTube videos is a good idea but have no idea what sort of thing to watch.

I'm still in bed. I think this is the best place for me atm.

Try and stay focused on the fact that you will have support tomorrow. Not wanting to go into hospital can be a good motivator to do all you can to look after yourself. Do you know what you need right now?

Do you like funny things? Cat things? I could probably recommend some of my favourite videos and channels but they might not be to your taste.

Take things a minute at a time. You can do this.

I will post in General so other people can share their favourite videos too.

Hi, feeling unsafe seems like a classic symptom of anxiety disorder, is that what you may feel you have?

Google anxiety disorder, there are cures for it, a lot of it is down to intense positive thinking, if you think positive, positive things will happen to you. Breathing techniques help too.

You seem doubtful about the future, is it because the past as been bad?

I think therefore I ambient.

I feel unsafe in terms of wanting to hurt myself.

I just feel like I've failed at life.

It helped me, but expensive, 50 an hour, there are cheaper ways of feeling safe, like I said, it's a lot about intense positive thinking.

I think therefore I ambient.

When you feel like you're not in the mood for doing anything, I find it can be good to just keep starting things and you'll hopefully eventually get involved in something that keeps you occupied. Cleaning is one of the things I think can be hard to find the motivation to do but then when you start you can be on a roll and feel a real sense of achievement.

There's not much I can do at the moment other than tv, reading when I have the concentration and sleeping.

What stops you from doing/trying other things?

New Year is hard for lots of people, I understand. Can you try as much as possible not to make it a big deal or something that is on your mind lots? Maybe stick to your normal routine and do things that make you feel a bit better at least. It's true that all that happens at new year is we go from one day to the next like happens all the time anyway. What do you hate about new year? Try not to put too much pressure on yourself or ruminate over what has been and what might be.

Did you see the support worker?

My mum and dad want me to come over. But I just hate New Year. There's too much pressure and I don't want to be alive to see another year.

I saw the support worker yes. I have a lot of tablets in the flat and I probably should have agreed to give them to her but I didn't.

Could you phone them and tell them? They might be able to come out before home time and look after them for you?
