So for a while I've been paranoid about being pregnant.
Even though only had sex without a condom once and I've been on the contraceptive depo for years now and don't get periods at all.
And I did tests months ago and all were negative.
BUT sometimes i do seem to have pregnancy symptoms sometimes. Morning sickness, going to the toilet lots and its even gone as far as feeling movements like kicks and feeling like I'm in early stages of labour.
It just really freaks me out and I know it sounds insane but i dont know what to because i can't deal with this much longer as I get so freaked out I start to have a panic attack so idk!
Not really sure what I want from this thread tbh!
I'm fine! Totally fine. I don't know why it's coming out all loud and squeaky, 'cause really, I'm fine!
That sounds really stressful. I think that when you become stuck on an idea it's easy to notice things that seem to confirm it. I'm not really sure what to suggest, sorry. Is there anyone you can talk to about your thoughts?
I put it down on paper and then the ghost does not ache so much.
Don't try to calm the storm, calm yourself, the storm will pass.
You're right, getting stuck on an idea iike that does make it worse.
It just seems to come on so randomly.
I cant really think of anyone I could speak to about it.
I was considering going to my GP and asking if she can check or send me for an ultrasound or something. Just to make absolutely 100% sure.
I'm just worried about coming across as a complete nutter!

My GP is actually amazing.
And she's seen me majorly manic and psychotic so I've probably said weirder things to her that I don't remember!
So maybe I should book an appointment?

It sounds like she might be really understanding. I don't think it's unreasonable for you to make an appointment but just remember she may not agree to an ultrasound etc. Would talking things through with her maybe be enough for you?

Thanks for the reassurance
Talking with her might help. She is understanding.
And I suppose there are other things she could do like a urine test or feel my stomach or something?
Idk.

She can definitely offer you a urine test (or maybe even a blood test). It's good that your doctor is understanding. I think talking to her is a good idea. I am paranoid about pregnancy too, even though I take all the precautions, and I occassionaly take pregnancy tests at the hospital when I need extra reassurance.
Hope she can ease your anxiety.
I do understand what you mean :) Guess I feel the same - sorry you're dealing with all this anxiety, but a bit relieved to know I am not the only one feeling like that, and that probably means our fears don't sound all that "insane".
I'm glad you will see your GP. While it sounds incredibly, incredibly unlikely you are pregnant, having gynaecology symptoms could suggest something wrong like endometriosis or another gynae issue. So it would be good to chat to your GP about your symptoms x

you once called your brain a hard drive, well say hello to the virus.
The doctor isn't sure what's going on so I've been referred for pretty much every blood test going!
She told me to make another appointment after I've had the blood test and given me some meds to help with the nausea.

Im going for the blood test tomorrow.
Im not sure how long it would take for the results to come in.
I have a nurse appointment next week so she'll probably know.

I find blood test results tend to come after 3 days or so. If you ring the GP surgery you can ask if the results are back and if the doctor needs to see you.
