why can't your police roll out the armored cars, tear gas, pepper spray, water cannons, and plastic bullets already? They would have used that on day one here in the states
Then wear the gold hat, if that will move her;
If you can bounce high, bounce for her too,
Till she cry "Lover, gold-hatted, high-bouncing lover,
I must have you!"

Thats what a lot of us have been saying but police are stuck with laws of "no shooting unless shot at" and other mess like that...
You guys woulda had it done pronto, we've gone....

We need never be hopeless, because we can never be irreparably broken
What? At the G20 in pittsburgh they had cars that could release a cloud of pepper spray that could engulf a city block. My friend got cought up in a cloud of it on the way to classes at uni

To look on the bright side (I know it's hard and maybe awkward of me to say, but still), look at how much people are pulling together to support each other? Not just on RYL, but in the UK in general.
The photos of the clean up operations I saw could only be described as beautiful.
It doesn't take away how much this is messing the country up, though. But they do say that it takes a tragedy to truly bring people together; let's not lose that sense of community.
Now I'll play your ghost as my ace, whenever I'm led astray.
But I am actually good, can't help it if we're tilted.
I'm in my right place, don't be a downer.
There are army chinnocks (not sure if thats how its spelt?) flying around canterbury - hopefully picking army up to go to london and other areas?
but there have been police and problems in my street and our small city has got police everywhere...people are scared, havent heard of any real trouble but really worrying.
I'd say confessing to your crime on twitter would probably be a thing that gets you caught.

I just heard that there are people (including younger people) who have decided to petrol areas to try to prevent rioting!
I remember when the student protests were going on there were groups of people who took it upon theirselves to protect monuments during the second one from the idiots who went along to cause trouble.
Kind of nice to see that some people are trying to prevent these things :) .
Also I heard about several people who took cups of tea to police offiers today. Once again a fair nice story I feel

Stop thinking about what I want, what he wants, what your parents want. What do you want?

They have armoured cars out on the streets in London and the trouble has died down there quite considerably since the deployment of 16,000 officers, however the trouble tonight is being caused in other cities where the police presence isn't as large. The police are equipped with plastic bullets however they're reluctant to use them, same with the water cannons.
Tear gas is a definite no no as it's an area dispersal weapon, that is exactly what the police don't want. Most of the trouble is already dispersed with large numbers of small gangs moving quickly along back streets outrunning the police. The police want to kettle them not disperse them, however kettling people in cities with numerous alley ways and back streets isn't easy.
Police armoured vehicles:
Some men aren't looking for anything logical, like money.
They can't be bought, bullied, reasoned or negotiated with.
Some men just want to watch the world burn.
Milwall and charlton fans have taken to the streets to defend eltham!
There are times to stay put, and what you want will come to you.
But there are times to go out into the world and find such a thing for yourself.
I aint no abacus but you can count on me.
