Am I English Yet??

I'm moving to England i.e. London in a few months and have started wondering what people consider essential things to have done/experienced as an English Person. So I am looking for suggestions for how to pass as a native.

So far on my list:
Nando's (never been)
Greggs
Wetherspoon
Going to Bath

Any type of suggestions legit or humorous are welcome!
So, how can I prevent looking like a tourist rather than a native?

PS: For the sake of this thread we shall pretend there is no Killer Virus wrecking havoc and that everything is legal.

Clearly you turn up in your Hogwarts robes and wand with your owl right? That's how you be English?

Fish and chips with mushy peas from an chippy (or as you are moving to London pie and mash)

I dont know what country you are from but all shops here charge an minimum of 5p each for carrier bags so either stock up on reusable bags or be prepared to pay. Also in some countries supermarkets have people who pack your bags we dont have that here so be prepared to pack your own.

Also in London there's an card scheme for public transport called the Oyster card which allows to prepay for journeys. It may be worth getting it as especially you dont know the prices for journeys initially and it saves you having separate tickets for underground and bus should your journey involve both.

Ah yes! I missed the bit about London specifically.

Uhm, learn how to make a proper cup of tea and how to make small talk about the weather.

Does anyone actually use Oyster cards any more?

You can use any debit card with contactless payment instead without needing to faff with topping up/running out of Oyster credit. Much easier.
