BBC: Protecting Our Foster Kids

It's a new series on BBC2 at the moment - filmed in my home county. It's very interesting but very sad. It always reminds me of horrible statistics on looked after children (ie. 75% of under-25s in jail grew up in care).

Anyone else watching it?

It doesn't matter where you come from; it matters where you go.
No-one gets remembered for the things they didn't do.
We won't all be here this time next year,
so while you can take a picture of us.
We're definitely going to hell,
but we'll have all the best stories to tell.

Sounds interesting, will it be on iplayer?

Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful,
committed citizens can change the world;
its the only thing that ever does.

It is already. :)

It's interesting, but obviously quite sad too.

I watched it tonight, having recorded it last night. It was very interesting but I also found it very sad. It did actually bring tears to my eyes and television programmes don't normally have that effect on me.

Yeah. The poor girls Amy and Natalie both desperately need some TLC. The foster mum seemed really good but it sounds as though Amy needed a lot more support than she could get there.
