Getting hair healthy

I have really dry, frizzy, thick curly hair.

It feels like it's in such bad condition.

I've tried so many hair masques but nothing has helped thus far.

Does anyone have any ideas of things I could try? Silicones sometimes make my hair more unruly, but I'm willing to try anything

I’ve started washing my hair only with Aussie 3 minute miracle conditioner and it’s making a good difference to my damaged hair, only shampoo maybe once every 3 washes.

Now I'll play your ghost as my ace, whenever I'm led astray.
But I am actually good, can't help it if we're tilted.
I'm in my right place, don't be a downer.

I've seen on FB that you can get shampoo made specifically for your hair.
Never tried it but people say it's really good.
Not sure if that would help

I'm fine! Totally fine. I don't know why it's coming out all loud and squeaky, 'cause really, I'm fine!

Who else is fine?!?!?

I use Shea Moisture for shampoo and conditioner and then I use Cantu for leave in conditioner. My hair has never felt healthier. I also have curly frizzy hair.

I know a lot of people who swear by Shea Moisture, mostly for bleached and over processed hair, but it's got no sulphates or silicons in it so far as I'm aware, so may be a good shout :)

My husband ended up stealing my R&B, I'd completely forgotten about that. He has thick, dry, curly hair, and it did wonders for keeping it in check. Expensive, but probably worth a shout. I also use Lush on my hair, which has been bleached to hell and back and feels soft as anything, but my hair is pretty straight and manageable to begin with, so I didn't know if it was worth mentioning. Although I'm pretty sure there are silicones in Lush conditioners but hey ho.

That's a fair point, to be fair, I've never looked at all of them. I just know there's some in American Cream, which I've been using for years. I can't imagine the formula is terribly different, but it's worth an ask.

I've started following the curly girl method predominantly you use lots of conditioner and not much else!

Might be worth looking it up - I think lorraine Massey wrote up on it
