Good makeup brands

Hey guys,

I was wondering if anyone could recommend a good but affordable makeup brand.
Particularly in regards to foundation and eye-shadows.

Thanks :)

No. 7 from boots is good but can be a bit pricey. However! If you get the liquid foundation from Primark and the pressed powder from No. 7 it's really good and can be a bit easier on the ole wallet.

I really like nyx and hard candy. They aren't considered to be luxury brands in most high end make up stores like ulta and sephora, but they work well. Elf is also good, but if you have a more fair complexion I wouldn't suggest their foundation because it has a sorta yellow/orange look to it.

I second NYX as a good mid-range, some of their paletes fall a little on the pricier side but I find they last well and are worth the money.

What sort of shades are you thinking of? Youtube may be of some help, it can just be difficult finding British youtubers I find, I long for Sephora here in the UK!

I've heard good things about the L'Oréal infallible foundation but never tried it - I usually use either no. 7 beautifully matte light or maybelline dream matte mousse with translucent loose powder (currently no. 7 as well) I currently have a no. 7 nude shades eyeshadow palette I use every day.

I really like body shop makeup. It's very light on the face and affordable in the sales.
