Tampons!
Once I started using them when I was about 14 I didn't want to bother with pads again.

Steel Maiden, have you thought about going on the injection? I've been on it for about 3 years now and no periods aside for maybe a little bit of really, really light bleeding once in a blue moon.

I spoke to the nurse about bone density issues and she said as long as you're over 18 when you go on it and you have a healthy calcium intake then its absolutely fine. The only issues with bone density are if you're already suffering osteoporosis or you go on it when you're young and your bones aren't quite finished delevoping.

I love how any thread involving the mention of periods just escalates into the longest thread on the board. XD

Tampons FTW. I hate pads but will use them overnight sometimes as a break/due to TSS paranoia, but I barely bleed at night so it's not too icky.

I, too, am shocked about how close this is - I assumed almost everyone used tampons!

I'm still scared of trying a mooncup though!!

Yep, I hate being female. I also hate having breasts and the female body shape.

PM me if you want a PDF copy of the ICD-10 or the Mental Health Act 1983/2007. I ALSO HAVE THE DSM-V BOOK and am a pharmacology student.

I have a visual impairment / neurological problems so I need people to type in clear text and no funny fonts. Also excuse any typos, my vision blocks things out.
I have autism and have problems communicating, PMs included.
Just becasue I type well doesn't mean I speak well. I am only part time verbal.

I have thought about going on the injection. Just need to research more about it before I ask my GP.

That sounds true about the bone density bit.

At least men don't have to go through this gross thing every month...

I hate the idea of tampons, always have, even more so after seeing that video that's gone viral recently.

I prefer tampons, however I almost always use pads as my periods are usually pretty light and I don't have to change them that often. It's a bit of an inconvenience needing to change the tampon when it isn't even full!

By the sounds of it, this is something I don't want to see, but also very tempted!!

I feel cringey every time I think about trying a tampon. >.<

Scattered on the hill

I use tampons and will never go back to full time pads.. not enough protection... although I wear pads at night out of fear that tampons will disappear into the abyss lol

Also anyone who believes in supplements Agnus Cactus is really good for womanly moods.. my mum put me on it as I get really moody and low at my time of the month. Tried coming off it to reduce meds and MY GOD I forgot what it was like to have so much moodyness... I felt rotten so back on it I went and around my periods no problems with mood other than the norm for me lol Just thought i'd throw it in there for anyone who is interested!

I am also intrigued by what this video is...

I have heard about the video and purposely avoided reading about it etc, everyone is saying it's horrendous - I want to change to tampons, not be put off by them!!

There will always be a happy ending. If its not happy then its not yet the end.
